It’s our second time exploring Ireland’s old forts regarding the biggest regarding the Aran isles, Inis Mór! 🏰 We start the day with coffee and our brand-new furry Irish buddies before operating our bicycles to a normal Aran sweater shop. We peruse the wonderful handmade wool sweaters and commence making our solution to the farthest Eastern point of this area, an unnamed coastline. 🌊 After an instant stroll because of the sea, we hop back on bikes to head to the pinnacle of your time on Inis Mór, Dún Dúchathair, or perhaps the Black Fort.
The Black Fort ended up being integrated the 4th century AD. While Dún Aonghasa had been gorgeous, Dún Dúchathair is much more crazy and deserted sensation. We thought like we were standing in a scene out of Game of Thrones! ⚔️ After the connection with a lifetime in the Ebony Fort, we carry on our pursuit to ride our bikes from one end of this island to another. Although we didn’t end up making it all the way, we did uncover the beautiful Na Seacht dTeampaill, usually known as The Seven Churches. ⛪️ It’s incredible exactly how old the old structures on Inis Mór tend to be.
